Terms of Service.
The terms that govern job-work enquiries, quotations, orders, and delivery with RAM Enterprises. Written in plain language — no surprises.

In short

- Client-supplied material is machined at client's risk; we report any defects we notice.
- Payment terms are agreed per order — usually part-advance for new clients.
1. Enquiries & Quotations
All enquiries are reviewed against the drawing, sample, or specification you provide. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotation prices are based on the quantity, material, and tolerances specified at the time of enquiry; changes to any of these may require a revised quote.
2. Orders & Confirmation
An order is confirmed when you accept our written quotation and, where applicable, pay the agreed advance. For new clients and new parts, we may require a first-piece sample to be approved before running the full batch.
3. Material Supply
Raw material may be supplied by you (job work only) or arranged by us (turnkey). Where material is client-supplied, we machine it in good faith but are not responsible for material defects, hardness variations, or dimensional inconsistencies present in the supplied stock. Where material is workshop-arranged, grade and source are confirmed in the quote.
4. Tolerances & Specifications
Components are machined to the tolerances stated in the drawing or agreed in writing. Where a drawing does not state a tolerance, we apply standard machining tolerances appropriate to the operation and material. Any non-standard tight tolerance that requires extra setup or inspection may be quoted separately.
5. Quality & Inspection
We perform first-piece and in-process inspection using calibrated measuring tools. If you require third-party inspection, material test certificates, or specific inspection reports, please request them at the time of enquiry — these are quoted separately.
6. Lead Time & Delivery
Lead times quoted are business-day estimates from the date of order confirmation (and, where applicable, receipt of approved sample and material). Delays caused by material shortages, power interruptions, or events outside our reasonable control may extend the committed lead time; we will inform you promptly.
7. Dispatch & Risk
Finished components are counted, packed, and dispatched per the agreed terms. Risk in the goods passes to the buyer at the point of dispatch (ex-works Chandigarh) unless otherwise agreed. Any discrepancy in quantity or visible damage must be reported within 7 days of receipt.
8. Payment Terms
Payment terms are agreed per order. For new clients, we typically require a part-advance before production and the balance before dispatch or on delivery. Ongoing clients may operate on agreed credit terms. Invoices are payable by bank transfer or UPI; details are shared with the quote.
9. Rejection & Rework
If a component is found to be outside the agreed drawing tolerance, notify us within 7 days of receipt with the specific non-conformance and, where possible, the inspection measurement. We will inspect and, if the non-conformance is confirmed, rework or replace the affected pieces free of charge. Client-supplied material that is consumed in the rework is not reimbursed.
10. Drawings & Intellectual Property
Drawings, CAD files, and specifications you share remain your intellectual property. We use them only to quote and execute your job and do not share them with other clients. We do not claim any rights over the components or the drawings you supply.
11. Limitation of Liability
Our liability in relation to any order is limited to the value of the specific order in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including but not limited to production downtime, lost profits, or third-party claims) arising from any delay, defect, or non-delivery.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chandigarh.
